SEO stands for search engine optimization. This is the process of maximizing the number of visitors to a particular website by ensuring that the site appears high on the list of results returned by a search engine. This can be done by effectively using keywords in different areas of a webpage: the title tag, headers, URL, page content, image names and alt text. Utilizing social sharing links and garnering external inbound links is extremely important as well. There are a number of other factors that help optimize a webpage, but these are some of the major ones.
