The internet has changed the world many of us once knew.

41% of these seniors say they are not using the internet because of three main issues. The first being that they have physical challenges-- 2 in 5 seniors state that they have trouble reading. Second, they have a skeptical attitude about the benefits of technology. And the third reason that seniors gave was that it is just plain difficult for them to use and to figure out.
ACS is trying to convert this 41% by creating sites that are easy to see, easy to use and are beneficial. An example would be Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists (SOS). SOS’ site features large navigation buttons that seniors are able to see more easily than your average navigation tabs. Also, the site is easy to navigate around so there is essentially no difficulty in understanding the site.
ACS also created a site with the design intended for those with visual disabilities. The site was created to accommodate those with vision health problems, such as color blindness and blurry vision. This smart design makes Eye Surgeons of CNY’s site accessible, easy to use and attractive for all current and potential patients.
Six in ten seniors now go online, and just under half are broadband adopters. Creating sites that appeal to your business’s target market is key. ACS has the knowledgeable and experience in reaching these markets.
