What is bounce rate?

Bounce rate is the percentage of users who arrived at your site and left your site on the page they arrived without going elsewhere on your site. A high bounce rate usually indicates a poor landing experience, irrelevant information to the user, or a number of other factors. There of course are exceptions to this rule; in the case of a blog that might only have one page to view, a high bounce rate is not a bad thing.
