ADA Accessibility Guidelines

ADA accessibility guidelines refer to guidelines for organizations to make their website compliant with ADA accessibility regulations. Specifically, the Americans with Disabilities Act's accessibility laws apply to all places of public accommodation. This has been interpreted to include an organization's website or apps. Because of this, ADA accessibility guidelines inform organizations of what actions need to be taken to make their website or app compliant with ADA accessibility regulations.

Currently, ADA accessibility guidelines for websites that are explicitly approved by the government do not exist. The closest approximation to ADA accessibility guidelines would be Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

ADA Accessibility Guidelines and Making Your Website Compliant

While explicit ADA accessibility guidelines for websites don't exist, ACS Web Design and SEO has extensive experience in creating ADA compliant websites. This includes integrating accessibility features that accommodate screen readers and other assistive technologies, providing equal access to information and online ordering for individuals with disabilities.
