Facebook continues to offer new features and tweak the current ones and with the recent year in review studies showing Facebook and Twitter users growing in both the PC and Mobile market, they must be doing something right. The studies show that most users utilize Twitter for news, and Facebook has hopped on board.
This week Facebook introduced a new navigation design as well as a new way to gather news. Facebook is happy to be the news aggregator for any and all of its users, and doesn't suffer the same issues that traditional aggregators face because news companies choose to be on Facebook.
The process is simple. The news company creates a page on Facebook, and continues to update that page with current events and headlines. Facebook users who are interested in the news of that company connect to that page by becoming a fan. To do this; Users click the "fan button" on the company page, then on their Facebook homepage, they click create new list And choose the page in the pop up.
Now they can receive updates from that company's page on their Facebook homepage. The updates display on the full PC version as well as the mobile version so users can get their news on the go.
